The magic of the Canal Grande: history, tradition and design
In the renovated spaces of its Studio in the heart of Brera, Ceramiche Refin presents Tales of Canal Grande: a journey through the magic of Venice steeped in history, tradition and contemporary design.
It was precisely the allure of the Venetian lagoon, with its famous water taxis, that inspired Refin to create the Canal Grande ceramic surfaces, the result of research into the excellent craftsmanship of the nautical sector that still manually works mahogany wood for boat construction.
In the installation conceived for Design Week 2023, ceramic surfaces frame the creations by Pieces of Venice, a Benefit Company born out of love for the city of Venice, its materials and craftsmanship and awarded the 26th Compasso d’Oro for Social Design.
Ceramiche Refin thus gives voice to the high value of social and environmental responsibility of the Pieces of Venice project, and through the objects and their stories accompanies you along the Grand Canal to discover the most intimate and authentic spirit of Venice.
