100% RECYCLED WOOL WADDINGS MADE WITH SUSTAINABLE PROCESS
REWA(R)D
(REcycled Registered WADding)
Over time the culture of saving has been replaced by wild consumerism, to the extent that it tarnished what for so long has been the primordial instinct for survival.
We believe we should start with the simple, almost obvious things. Reusing within our companies everything we can give a new life to, trying to find a different use that does not necessarily have to generate new productions, but instead replaces the purchase of components that we would otherwise buy on the market (thus still generating productions).
We therefore make circularity a double virtue, reusing as much as possible of the production cycle scraps to create the component of a different product, which we thus avoid buying and for which the credibility of our company / brand serves as a "family certification".
Historically, textile cutouts (if reused) return to the production cycle in the form of recycled yarns and then fabrics again. With the aim of reducing the surpluses, we have sought a new use for natural fiber cutting scraps, especially wool: the result is an extremely soft wadding to use in for furniture and clothing sector, generated with a series of mechanical textile processes, all carried out locally.
Today, in the twenty-first century, we rediscover the wool warmth and softness that our grandparents knew so well. We do this by repurposing waste, processing it with respect for the environment, with machinery of our tradition. And, above all, we do this locally, thus saving the CO2 emissions caused by long journeys.
REWA(R)D calls on BEST TIE historical clients, those who own a wide range of products in their collections, those who believe that everything can be reused in the narrow circle of their supply chain, those who sincerely, intimately, and bravely believe that sustainability and the preservation of our planet is no longer an option but a necessity.
QUILTED TROW BLANKETS
(zero meters or kilos of new production)
Why not starting with a new item that shows a possible use for our wadding? How to impact the planet as little as possible? How could this product be the most honest, reliable, really sustainable one?
No extra production of anything from scratch, but great research of beautiful fabrics left over, for a million and plus reasons, from the textile industries, mainly clothing and accessories. Incredibly enough, all these yardages magically meet their “companions” in color and texture; the various combinations (wool + velvet, silk + corduroy and so forth) are then manually quilted with our REWA(R)D wadding, 100% natural and repurposed, resulting in a chic, sophisticated and 100% sustainable throw blanket for sofas, couches, beds, armchairs. Will the market be ready for a change in buying? No more as much or as many of what I like but as much and as many it’s available.
