Elevators: travel between space and time
Solferino 28 is the unprecedented address of the Brera Design District. Corriere della Sera, with Living and Abitare, opens for the first time the doors of its historic building to host in the large inner courtyard the multimedia installation “Elevators”. The project is designed by the Milan-based studio Migliore+Servetto: two elevators, translucent and colorful towers, scenic machines for a metaphorical and immersive journey across time, through the themes of mobility and sustainability. A visual and olfactory journey to discover objects and landscapes between past, present and future. A spacious lounge will provide an opportunity to relax after the experience and contemplate the grandeur and architectural historicity of the Corriere headquarter. It will be possible to join a guided tour of the palace built specifically for the newspaper in 1904 by Luca Beltrami in Art Nouveau style. The newspaper will be projected on the Via Solferino facade in another spectacular installation that will celebrate the link between printed and virtual Corriere.
