Collective of young interior designers from IDP in Verona

DESIGNTRAMA offers a unique glimpse into the emerging talent of young designers from the Palladio Design Institute in Verona, who have taken on the challenge of interpreting and manipulating a traditional material like iron with an experimental approach, designing new bookshelves for the Giacopini design brand.

The exhibition is hosted by Tessuti & Dintorni, which has been operating for several years in the selection and sale of fabrics, catering to both private clientele and interior designers, architects, and furniture brands. With the collaboration of a team of experienced tailors and artisans, they support the client in every phase of their project.

The result is an exhibition that celebrates the fusion between the texture of fabrics and that of books, offering unprecedented mechanics and innovative forms. Through explorations and multidisciplinary approaches, ten young designers have tackled one of the most complex furniture accessories: the bookshelf. In this context, aesthetics and functionality synergize in the search for emotional connections and meaning, embracing the legacy of Italian design with attention to detail and respect for craftsmanship.

Of the ten projects on display at Tessuti & Dintorni, five are realized as physical installations that offer a spatial and tactile experience, while the other half is represented by digital renders that highlight their potential and design technique.

Iron, the undisputed protagonist, is transformed into sheets, tubular forms, and perforated surfaces, all painted in sandy tones for a minimal impression of uniformity and elegance. The bookshelves are designed to be compact and dismountable, with standardized dimensions of 60x60 cm elements and a maximum height of 210 cm.

Each piece tells its own vision of design culture and encapsulates a universe of ideas and concepts shaped by knowledge and personal reflection, giving life to 10 timeless design objects.

Teraplast, a leading company in the production and commercialization of indoor and outdoor pots, supported the students in setting up a shop where creativity, talent, and design merge into one place.
