Lumière capsule, innovative weaves of light for MAXIMO sofa

Nardi presents Lumière, a capsule collection of padded elements that envelop the MAXIMO modular sofa in a new sensory experience. Precious weaves, exclusive patterns and sophisticated colours give the seating system a new twist and stunning appeal. With its regenerated resin frame, MAXIMO retains its signature design featuring unique details and quality, yet acquires a sophisticated look, revealing its exceptional versatility.

The capsule collection, comprising two designs Brise Soleil and Modulaire, was designed by Studio Pisk and developed in close collaboration with Celeste Italia.

At the core of the design is Modulaire, the fabric that envelops the body and ensures the comfort of MAXIMO, without sacrificing bold aesthetic appeal. The design, created for the seat and backrest, evokes the façades of buildings designed by Gio Ponti, where modular repetition and geometric composition shape the architectural character. The pattern reflects the concept of neatness, continuity and structure, interpreting Ponti’s style with a contemporary textile surface.

Brise Soleil, on the other hand, is the design chosen for the decor scatter cushions, decorative elements that enhance the overall effect with a recognisable and elegant touch. Inspired by the cement sunshades of Modernist architecture, the fabric represents the concept of screening light with dynamic, geometric and rhythmic graphics. Like sunshades, the design creates an interplay of solids and voids, shadows and overlaps, lending movement and visual depth to the sofa.

During Milan Design Week, the Nardi space will be exclusively showcasing the Lumière capsule collection in all the colour variations of the MAXIMO frame, in an evocative setting designed to fully enhance its unique features.

With this project, Nardi continues its path of research, enriched by new partnerships that give rise to original and iconic outdoor furniture solutions. The outcome is a harmonious balance of consistency and functionality. In this textile design project, the fabric becomes the ideal intersection between design, materials and the product, meeting the needs of contemporary outdoor living while providing striking stylistic identity.
