Crafting Time: When Design Shapes Movement
For the Salone del Mobile 2026, Audemars Piguet aims to highlight the strong culture of the Manufacture with a celebratory exhibition dedicated to watch design. The exhibition* project Crafting Time: When Design Shapes Movement was conceived with the intention of offering the city of Milan a high‑profile cultural contribution and an extensive educational and experiential journey, created to celebrate the indissoluble bond between Haute Horlogerie and Design. It will be a unique opportunity for the public, as a private collection of historical and one‑of‑a‑kind timepieces will be on display.
The beating heart of the initiative will be the AP House Milan, located inside the historic former Garage Traversi at Via Bagutta 2.
The choice of this venue is not incidental but essential: a masterpiece of Milanese Rationalism inaugurated in 1938 and designed by architect Giuseppe De Min, the building represents the perfect synthesis of functionality and avant‑garde aesthetics. It is within this space — returned to the city after a meticulous restoration — that the project seeks to enter into dialogue with history, transforming the location into a stage where the mechanics of time meet architecture.
