“The ability to imagine and shape the future"

During the Fuorisalone 2024, Xacus presents the 4th protagonist of "The Art of Becoming", a fascinating journey into artistic creation.

The artist showcased is Nazareno Biondo - a prominent contemporary artist, renowned for its multifaceted artworks that explore marble's intrinsic beauty.

Through his piece "We Are Future" - made especially for the brand - Xacus gives voice to the most important part of its Manifesto: "the ability to imagine and shape the future, to be an active part of its improvement."

“We are Future” is a work of art created to represent and go beyond the degree of separation between present and future. Epitomized in a monumental life-size door sculpted in Carrara marble, the barrier between us and our evolution leaves a glimmer of hope behind. Extracted for millennia from caves in the Apuan Alps, white Carrara marble is the marble, Michelangelo and Donatello's marble, an icon of beauty and elegance, with its fine grain and its unmistakeable grey veining.

The slab chosen and supplied by Petra Antiqua, a Vicenza-based company specialized in the processing and customization of natural stone surfaces, is the heart of a block extracted from the Carrara quarries, from which the aesthetically best part was obtained.

An avant-garde sculpture and video artwork: through the keylock, in a storytelling where video-art meets vision, we see the glimpses of a future that brings along innovation and benefits for those who are capable of developing a better version of themselves.

An engaging installation, prompting viewers to physically and symbolically approaching a vision with a cathartic and revealing power, like any artwork should inspire.
