Mondi: a sensory journey between art and innovation in textile to celebrate 20 years of Alessandro Bini

Alessandro Bini, the Florentine excellence specialising in fine furnishing fabrics, celebrates 20 years of the brand with a special presentation of the 2025 Collection at Milan Design Week. The new textile creations by Alessandro Bini are the protagonists of an artistic exhibition curated by the architecture and design Palomba Serafini Studio, in the evocative location of the Protestant Christian Church in Milan. Built in the 19th century on land belonging to silk and cotton merchants, the space becomes a splendid setting for a journey throughout art and textile innovation not to be missed. The setting designed by Palomba Serafini Studio, combined with the uniqueness of the place, enhances the refined creations of Alessandro Bini, the result of an harmonious fusion of craftsmanship and innovation accompanied by a passion for the world of textiles and the art of beauty. As Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba explain, “Telling the story of a textile company is particularly exciting because it allows us to discover the complexity of the processes and the variety of typologies present within a reality of the highest quality and Italian artisanship, such as Bini. The setup is a narrative made of small stories that, through micro-architectures placed in the nave of a church, develop along an immersive pathway. Through a set of mini-installations, visitors can explore the excellent materials created by the company—linens, velvets, jacquards—told through stories that enhance their hues, textures, and softness. Outside, we have installed a number of areas that show how these same fabrics can endure even in outdoor settings, highlighting how outdoor textiles today represent an essential part of contemporary furnishings. Textiles are no longer just decorative surfaces; they are increasingly becoming an inspiring element of the very form of the object.”
