Inspirational Mood dSEGNI:
A Journey Through Material, Innovation, and Craftsmanship
Guided by a roadmap leading visitors through a multisensory narrative, dSEGNI extends beyond its space in Brera to explore the relationship between tradition and modernity. Here, Material, Fashion, and Design intertwine, giving life to new creative narratives through unique installations.
1 | Codes of Matter: From Raw Substance to the Final Product
An installation celebrating contemporary craftsmanship and sustainable production, highlighting the intrinsic value of materials through their transformation journey. This process showcases the evolution of matter to its final form and serves as the perfect excuse for a tour dedicated to discovering the exhibited products.
The installation unfolds in three fundamental stages, featuring samples that can be seen and touched:
- Raw Material – The natural resource in its purest essence.
- Semi-Finished – The transformation phase, where matter takes shape.
- Final Detail – The design object, a synthesis of research and artisanal mastery.
The journey naturally concludes with the finished products from individual brands, available for purchase.
2 | Elli x Karim Rashid: A New Paradigm of Sustainable Design
From the collaboration between Karim Rashid, an icon of international design, and Elli Design, an Italian startup at the forefront of the furniture sector, Tork is born: a hospitality furniture collection featuring a table, coffee table, and low stool.
Inspired by the fluid movements of nature, these forms come to life through 3D printing with biopolymers, redefining the standards of circular design and eco-luxury.
For Fuorisalone 2025, the collection is exclusively reinterpreted for dSEGNI, embracing the theme of contamination—a fusion of art and design, innovation and tradition, sustainability and technology. This new version enhances color, a distinctive element of Karim Rashid's aesthetic language, while the surfaces, hand-decorated using airbrushing techniques by Max77Design, an internationally renowned motorsport artist, infuse the project with unprecedented visual energy.
3 | Winetage x Luca Faloni: The Soul of Wine Takes Shape
In this evocative installation, the fabrics of Luca Faloni’s Spring/Summer collection reinterpret the hues of wine, transforming the space into an immersive sensory experience. At the center of the scene is the Winetage chaise longue, crafted from 210 cm barrel staves from the historic Tommasi Winery, a symbol of Amarone della Valpolicella, in dialogue with the fashion brand's textiles.
4 | Winetage Experience: A Direct Interaction with Matter
Visitors will have the chance to experiment with wine’s chromatic power, painting oak boards and observing how the wood— the same used for aging barrels—absorbs the color and preserves its nuances over time. Alongside the interactive material mood board, a live demonstration will reveal the upcycling process, showing how a discarded barrel can be transformed into a design object.
