HUNDREDICRAFTS——Adorned Dancer of Eastern Screen
From April 7th to 13th, 2025, the global narrative leader in artisanal high-end customization, HUNDREDICRAFTS a pioneering Chinese brand dedicated to preserving intangible cultural heritage crafts, made its debut at the core exhibition area of the Milan Design Week at Brera. Within the city's landmark, Museo d'Arte e Scienza (Palazzo Bonacossa), which embodies the spirit of Milan's fashion and art, the brand explored eternity through craftsmanship of the fingertips and reconstructed historical narratives through modern life. It was hailed by audiences from around the world as a "Adorned Dancer of Eastern Screen".
This exhibition showcases a series of screens meticulously crafted using various intangible cultural heritage techniques, complemented by a range of lifestyle works such as porcelain, Nanjing Yunjin brocade, embroidery, lacquerware, tea sets, and furniture. It presents a perfect fusion of aesthetics and life, exploring and providing cross-cultural aesthetic inspiration and solutions for the global high-end customization field.
As the lights illuminate the dome of Palazzo Bonacosa, the spires of Castello Sforzesco dialogue with the eastern craftsmanship through the window lattices. This castle, which once witnessed Leonardo da Vinci's experimental ceiling frescoes in the Sala delle Asse, together with the eastern screens spanning time and space, interprets the symbiosis of Eastern and Western civilizations. This convergence foreshadows that the global luxury aesthetic system is about to enter an unprecedented era of transformation.
