Rooms for Stories. From Seat to Seed.

During Milan Design Week, Kave Home presents an installation that reveals the unseen journey behind one of our most iconic pieces: a special edition of the Jan armchair created with a new biomaterial developed in collaboration with a Spanish local partner. This edition revisits its essence, bringing forward a material origin that speaks of territory, responsibility and quiet transformation.

The installation, conceived with Sara Ricciardi Studio, traces a reverse path: from the finished armchair back to the seed. Each room becomes a pause, a way of showing how every form carries a story rooted in choices, landscapes and relationships that shape the life of an object.

At the heart of the project lies this new biomaterial, which surrounds Jan with a renewed presence. Its texture and depth evoke a return to the source, connecting design with the land it comes from. The piece maintains the character that defines it yet opens itself to a more conscious reading of what we welcome into our homes.

At the Kave Home Milan flagship store, the installation invites visitors to slow down and discover what usually remains hidden. A quiet journey that reveals the origin behind what we sit on every day and reminds us that each object holds a genealogy worth telling.
